"MUMBAI STREET PHOTOGRAPHY"

“My photography is a reflection, which comes to life in action and leads to meditation. Spontaneity – the suspended moment – intervenes during action, in the viewfinder.” – Abbas

Mumbai ( Dream city ) The city that never sleep, formerly known as Bombay, is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the most populous city in India, and the fourth most populous city in the world, with a total metropolitan area population of approximately 20.5 million. Mumbai was named an Alpha world city It is also the wealthiest city in India, Mumbai has been ranked 6th among top 10 global cities on billionaire count, ahead of Shanghai, Paris and Los Angeles.

Few months ago i participate in photography competition in Mumbai. So of course the best place to shoot is near railway stations & local markets. The Mumbai Local, the life line & the death line of Mumbai. 50% of Mumbai people travel in local train. While i was shooting i saw life in mumbai is not so easy. I found millions of people are struggling just for there family not for the Future. That's the Love the richness of the Indian culture.

Thanks to the street photography competition because of it i had experience this.
The hard working people of Mumbai even don't have time to go to home & have lunch they mostly eat there meal at work places, early morning they go to the work & there food get delivered by world famous dabba wala's & another side this city is growing quite fast. Mumbai has always two parts. But the street food is simply amazing especially sev puri, pani puri, Dosas, pav baji & world famous vada pav

it is once in a life time experience come here &
Ride the local trains
Eat at streets
Give up the map
Go for the bollywood movie
Feel the dream city
Go for shopping with good bargain
Enjoy the nightlife
Feel the "AMCHI MUMBAI"

I did not won the photography contest but that contest made my connection with mumbai more strong.
